How It Works

An air-operated diaphragm pump is a style of positive displacement pump is also known as a “membrane pump” for the mechanically operated membrane that is maneuvered into and out of the pumping chamber during operation.  The closing of the diaphragm forces air out of the diaphragm chamber in a repeating motion that operates in cooperation with a reciprocating movement from the pumping chamber. Depending on the wishes of the user and the needs of the industry, either ball or flap valves are operated on either side, with the valves being contiguously manipulated by the back-and-forth pulsing shift of the membranes and the pressure differentiation of the liquids being forced through.

Capable Of Handling Even The Dirtiest Jobs

Diaphragm pumps are generally great for all manner of waste liquids and slurry, and are widely-used due to their appropriateness in such a wide range of applications.  They are used by mining companies and in manufacturing operations. They are excellent for plating and polishing, and are often utilized in the production of ceramics. Air-operated diaphragm pumps offer excellent suction performance allowing for continuous fluid lift, so they can move large amounts of thick sludge with minimal pulsation of the fluid.  Due to their ability to transfer even viscous, gritty, or sludge-like substances, they are a very popular style of compression air pump.

Built To Last, Built to Work

These diaphragm pumps are abrasion resistant and as such are built to withstand even the nastiest waste products with minimal corrosion.  Their design features an anti-icing air valve, perfect for a wide variety of industry uses even in some harsher environments. They are capable of withstanding pressures up to 275 psi while handling a flow rate of up to 275 gallons per minute.  Whether you are looking to pump abrasive chemicals, finishing coatings, moving oil or gas, or essentially any other possible fluid transfer requirement, our air operated diaphragm pump can handle the task at hand.

The Cost-Effective Option For Your Industry

These features combined with their anti-stall design means that they will hold out longer while doing more for you.  And because we value efficiency, our AODPs are designed to consume less air and require no air lube, so they are cheaper to operate than other pump options.  We know full well that every company needs to keep an eye fixed on long term costs. Our air operated diaphragm pumps are meant to last and get the job done without destroying your bottom line--making them a solid investment for you and your company.
