The rotating assembly is one of the most critical components of your Centac air compressor. If it out of balance, your compressor will not perform to it's full potential. With normal operation of a compressor, your rotating assembly will attract a buildup of solids on the induction side of the impeller. This buildup can result in an increase in vibration on the individual stages of the compressor. The amount of acceptable vibration varies among models of compressors, however, the pinion vibration increases the probability of nuisance trips or premature failure of the pinion and bearings increases. Failures of this type can be very costly if replacement of the part is required.
To keep your compressor performing at it's full potential, Process & Power offers cleaning and balancing. By taking advantage of this OEM repair service during routine maintenance, Centac owners can continue to use their original rotor assemblies for an indefinite period of time.

Bell & Gossett 1510 Cooling Tower Pump RepairDENSO sent a Bell & Gossett 1510 cooling tower pump to us after experiencing a leaking seal. Inspection identified a cracked mechanical seal face, shaft sleeve wear and bearing wear. Our team replaced the damaged shaft sleeve and mechanical seal, along with the inboard and outboard bearings, volute gasket, shaft keys, washers and gaskets. The pump passed pressure testing after the repair.

What are common signs a pump needs attention?
Leaks, unusual noise, vibration, reduced flow, overheating, and repeated trips deserve investigation. Record when the symptoms occur and any recent process changes before assuming the pump itself is the only cause.
What can cause a blower to lose performance?
Restrictions, leaks, worn components, drive problems, or changed process conditions can reduce performance. Compare pressure, flow, temperature, and operating load with the machine's normal readings to guide the investigation.
Why is my vacuum system taking longer to reach its target?
Possible causes include leaks, restricted inlet components, pump wear, or a changed process load. The pump and connected system should be evaluated together rather than sizing a replacement from symptoms alone.
Should I repair or replace rotating equipment?
